I started fencing before "Die Another Day" was released, which makes it way cooler. Clearly, if one is going to be like James Bond, one must know how to wield a sword. That's very important. Hence, I started fencing at Smith College in 2002, and I'm still at it. There's definitely a state of mind created by fencing: A certain awareness of space and of the distance of potential threats. Also, it looks pretty cool.
